Hello,
I am a developer but do not know the tricks or tools to debug the problem I am having. We developed 20 Captivate courses. They all preview fine when Preview/project but when I will view in the scorm I get fail…check your internet connection. The files are large 2g files with images, videos, jump to slides, states but nothing too complicated.
Any thoughts how I can begin to track this issue down?
Do I need to hire a professional?

In 12 years of using Captivate, I never published a file of that size, really think that this may be the issue. I don’t understand which version this is:
CP2017 had two versions, most recent is 10.0.1.285
CP2019 has 2 versions, present one is 11.0.1.266
My first recommendation is to cut down the size. There are several techniques possible.
The max file size in the LMS is two gigs. All my projects are that large or larger.
I am working in CP2019 the latest update.
My projects that are still in Captivate 2017 all work fine
Do you mean there are several techniques to cut down the projects?
I prefer not to do so – I have 25 projects that can be reduced to 5 projects each = 125 files to package and test and I candidly do not the time or resources to do so. So if this would be a huge set back. My projects have videos, photos etc. Thanks for your help.
Use graphical assets that are exactly the size you need in Captivate, never rescale them in Captivate. Never use stereo audio, choose settings for audio that are as low as possible with acceptable quality. Same for video. Do not choose a resolution for the files that is too big.
2017. We had to save to 19 b/c we would lose the work. Went to view work in the scorm cloud preview – Fail message – internet too slow (not the case) tried wireless and ethernet. Upload published file to LMS and the file is blank.
Project file is 862 MB . Zip published file 385MB
I do not know how to track this down. Thank you.
