Responsive Simulation Not Recording all Steps

I am using Captivate 2017.  Previously when I recorded a demo simulation, Captivate would record each click of my mouse as a separate slide I could edit.  I recently had a system administrator run the updates for the application and now when I record it only captures when I use a key on my board.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the delay in responding.  I’m using the 2017 version of Captivate.  I am running the application on Windows 10 but was not launching as Run as Administrator.  I had never done this previously and the recording had worked fine.  I tried to record a demo simulation while signed in as administrator and had the same issue this morning.  Any other thoughts?

Recent versions seem to be more strict to require Admin rights for recording. It is not to be ‘signed in as administrator but to launch Captivate with the option ‘Run as Admininstrator’. Did you do that?

Can you check the version number as well. It should be 10.0.1.285 to have the most recent one.

Is your problem solved? I didn’t hear back from you at all. Captivate can have issues with some web-based applications, forgot to ask about the type of application you are capturing.

Which version are you using? If you are on Winfdows, do you use the ‘Run as Admninstrator’ to launch Captivate? This is required for recording.
