Check out this mini Spanish lesson I created with Photoshop and Captivate. Using an equirectangular grid in photoshop I was able to create my first 360 degree illustration. Then I added hotspots to my image in Captivate to create an exploratory environment for my Spanish students.

Muchas gracias! Great idea,  didn’t yet find time to create a 3D environment in Photoshop. You did inspire. Moreover I seem to remember a little bit of Spanish, succeeded the quiz.  Learned one new word (to me): pajaro.

I blogged a couple of times about VR projects, wished had more time to blog, have do many topics in my mind bubbling up.  Will post the links in a separate comment (moderation sometimes takes a while).

Thank you for the feedback and links to your blogs! I downloaded a free trial of Captivate 3 days ago and kept searching for answers on YouTube. I feel like VR would really engage my students in the classroom! I have so many ideas that I’m surprised no one has done it already (or maybe they have?). With this technology we can create our own version of Rosetta Stone specific to our curriculum and truly immerse our students in the language and culture.

Always excited to see creativeness, like you show.  To be bit bold (some say snarky) it is much easier to produce a quick passive video that can be distributed using YouTube than to design a VR project or an interactive video.  Both cannot be distributed using YouTube nor Video and take a lot more investment of working hours. I have published some interactive videos (you’ll not find a lot of them neither), because they allow to engage with the learner, to explain ‘why’ something has happened, to offer more in-depth information which is IMO essential for real learning. It is also the reason I more invest in blogs and interactive video at this moment, whenever I have some time left.

I can see that this is your first post.

I wish that you create & upload more and more such tutorial/demo. It will be beneficial to you, your students and to us (Captivate community) also.

As far as creativity I concern, Superb. I could not understand a single word as it is Spanish, but I took the complete tour and attempted exam also (0 out of 50!).

Also, thanks for sharing your idea of using photoshop to create 360-degree environment.

Only a small problem. The end was not ok. that is, even after the exam, if I wanted to exit, there was no such Exit and your programme(PlayBar) was also refusing to proceed!

But overall v.good.

Thank you for your feedback! I’m still trying to figure out the details. I don’t know how to get the quiz results after submitting the last answer without having to click the next page arrow on the playbar. I really have no idea what I’m doing in Captivate but I learned a lot in a day if playing with it. I’ll keep working on it.
