Arranging a newly added fluid boxes

Working in a project with fluid boxes. Captivate 2019 latest version. When I add another fluid box, it is always added after de last one (at the bottom of the slide or at the most right of the slide). Does somebody know a convenient way to add a fluid boxes before or between existing fluid boxes?

Of course it’s possible to drag the contents of fluid boxes to another one, and in this way creating an empty fluid box between them. But, some slides have some really complicated fluid boxes constructions, which finally seem to work fine. So inserting, resizing, updating properties and finally dragging, is really time-consuming.

Maybe you don’t understand the power of master slides, they are not meant at all to be time consuming. I asked if the slide had already inherited fluid boxes from a master slide?

Too bad so few experts talk about setting up a responsive project with fluid boxes, which will start by setting up the master slides. In most examples they just show fluid boxes created on a blank slide based on a  blank master slide. That is indeed very time consuming….

I surely do understand and agree fully with your workflow. But in some projects you simply need some extra space for that single slide. Not needing it on other slides. To be honest, in those circumstances, I won’t setup another master slide but simply change the specific single slide.

Still misunderstanding. I never told to set up another master slide, asked if you have fluid boxes inherited from a master slide.  Or post some screenshots, still not sure about the question itself. Adding a fluid box is happening in the parent fluid box. I never do that when fluid boxes are already filled with content or child fluid boxes. If you have content, unlock it from the fluid box, drag it out of the stage. Increase the number of FB’s, and relock content to drag it in the appropriate fluid box.

Please, could you solve the problem? It has been several days since I answered but didn’t see any feedback yet.

Are you talking about setting up Fluid boxes on master slides?  Or adding fluid boxes to a normal slide, which also has FB’s from master slides?  Personally I always try to set up fluid boxes before adding items to it, and start from master slide setup.

It’s about adding an extra fluid box to a normal slide. For example when you need an extra space for a subtitle, extra picture or something like that. In setting up a master slide, you have the same problem. Fluid boxes are always added at the end of a slide. So adding another master slide is also time consuming. All the same.
