Optimize Your Images for Your Captivate eLearning
I've been an eLearning designer and developer since 2005. In 2015 I started my own eLearning design company. I began creating Adobe Captivate video tutorials to help promote my business through my YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/captivateteacher. My intention with my YouTube videos was to attract attention from organizations looking for a skilled Captivate developer. This strategy proved successful as I've worked with clients worldwide, helping them build highly engaging eLearning solutions. In addition, my YouTube channel presented another benefit of attracting aspiring Captivate developers to seek me out as a teacher. I now offer online and onsite training on Adobe Captivate, teaching users the skills to build engaging and interactive learning.

I usually use the first half of the round-tripping process but save it to my desktop or some other place to ensure I’m importing the optimized version of the file. Perhaps I’m creating more work for myself but it seems to be more effective than the full round trip version.

thanks for sharing. Thanks for reminding me the fact that png will be larger than jpg.

I would like to add one point. The method you described (round trip to photoshop from Cp) would sometimes create problem as you are editing directly that image(irreversible process). It is good at the final stage but maybe problematic for a novice user. Because when we edit and save, we may not get the original image file if at all we want to change our mind regarding the size of that image etc.

What I prefer at intermediate stage of development is, note down all that changes I require to do with image, then edit them separately in photoshop or similar software save it as ‘Save as’ and use that images to the project. So that I always have an original image safe. In fact, I save every image with at least two extra version, like one small image, medium image etc.

Correct me if I am wrong or misunderstood. Thanks
