Is there any option/setting to get semi-transprant Text Caption Box. I can see some pre-difined choice only. My quick workaround is to take shape and trasperant Text Caption box. But there could be some better way.
For each caption you need to create a bmp and a FCM file. The last will define the margins. You have to repeat this for each of the form of the captions.
BMP format doesn’t support transparency by default (same as JPEG).
Why do you want captions instead of the much more flexible shapes? I thought they would already have disappeared because that is old technology.
Thanks, since CP6 I try to get all CP-users to appreciate the power of shapes and shape buttons over captions and old button types. Once I presented a webinar only about them, for Adobe.
It would help if you mention the version you are using.
Personally I very rarely use Captions since Shapes appeared with Captivate 6, more than 6 years ago. Creation of a Text caption is so cumbersome, compared with a Shape. You see in all the themes packaged with Captivate that Text captions are only used in the version where there is no background nor stroke anymore. I had expected even that they would disappear totally. Default setup uses shapes for almost everything except (for some unknown) reason for recordings where captions for feedback messages are the default. I immediately change that whenever I need to use a software sim.
