Various languages in Captivate

I started work for an international company, and I’ve been given a project to create a course in 19 languages.  I can change the keyboard through Windows, but when I try to import into Captivate I got some boxes and some ? marks.

This is going to be a frequent request here, and if Captivate can’t support, I need to start looking for something that will.

Any help is appreciated!

Which export/import method did you use?

Hi,

Have you ensured that the fonts you’re using for the languages are supporting the characters you need?

When you’re typing in those characters, are you copying them as graphics or doing the actual code for them? For example, on Windows doing ALT + 0131 for the character? I’ve found that if I copy something from Word, it’ll break a lot of characters depending on how the SME enters them, and I have to go back and type them in the way I mention above or using HTML.

Thank you for your response!   You mean the font I am using in captivate?  How could I tell?  Our organization standard is Gotham Book. How can I determine which fonts WILL accept the foreign characters?  I have a need for Hebrew, Simplified chinese, traditional chinese, and several others that have very odd characters (Arabic for example)
