I was at the eLearning expo this month and the sneak peek spoke of an update that was coming out in “a couple of months”. Is this a free update or is this another version of Captivate we will have to purchase?
I am a government contractor who has 13 Captivate 17 licenses. We want to upgrade to 20 Captivate 19 licenses but do not want to make that leap until we have an answer to this question.

BTW title is bit confusing as is the numbering of versions. The version you are talking about is version 11 (11.0.1.266 most recent), there is not yet a version 19 but this version is also indicated as CP2019 although it was released in 2018.
I am just a user, but in this case feel bit confident that some of those announced features will probably be in another patch which will be free.
I suspect you buy perpetual licenses? If you could manage to switch to subscription licenses (know that can be a problem) you don’t have to worry anymore about upgrades since iti allows you to have two versions on your system.
