Creating Course Presentation in Captivate
I love creating content including courses to help achieve goals. Currently working to learn Adobe Captivate and build my technical communication portfolio.

Can you embed the Captivate created courses into  LearnDash without tracking capabilities for certificates and awards that are supported using SCORM and Tin Can if the outcome is something you check on the student’s properties? (Like a website or file they upload.)

I think there is an addon available now for Learndash.

Do you mean a WP plugin? Will that allow to have the learner upload a WP site and track that?

In the past I tried to use WordPress as well, but never succeeded in embedding a published CP course to it, that is why I switched to another host for my blog, in which I embedded SWF published output in the past, and now embed HTML output using an iFrame and pointing to a webserver where the published course is uploaded. Maybe you should try that last approach?

The WordPress LMS I have provides all of the functionality I need in order to create the courses for my students that are already enrolled. I wanted to be able to use Adobe Captivate to create a course for my professional portfolio to build my professional experience in instructional design using Adobe since I’m already invested in the Adobe environment with Creative Cloud. Since that doesn’t look like a wise use of my time, I’ll simply create interactive animations using my Adobe CC tools and incorporate those using the format accepted in the LMS I purchased for WordPress.  I’ll keep using Captivate when requested for clients and my employer. Thank you for your help.

A Captivate course is like a website, it should be possible at least to follow my workflow of uploading to a webserver, and insert a hyperlink in the WordPress site pointing to the URL.

Interactive animation created with Animate CC will never reach the same interactivity level you can realize with Captivate, and needs a lot more work as well. Reporting will be totally excluded unless you set up a lot of scripting.

Yes, Lieve, I’ve created a course community and don’t need to track the students because their deliverables will be posted for everyone to see live to the web. I’d like to be able to post the courses I create onto the WordPress LMS without using SCORM or tin can if possible.

Can you explain what you really want? Some LMS’s do support uploading a package which is not set up as a SCORM with reporting. Is that what you want?
