Is there any specific reason for not supporting rollover slidelet for HTML5 version?    If its is not supported then why there is a feature like rollover slidelet in captivate?

My project is not a responsive. For responsive project by default,it wont allow you to insert a rollover slidelet. But for the normal project  even if we can insert slidelet it wont allow  you to publish the project if it is publishing under HTML5 version. But in case of SWF it will publish the project. In coming days SWF  will no longer be available, so i am trying for HTML5 version.

Understood your question, but it will simply not be possible. I posted an article explaining how you can mimick a rollover caption/image in a responsive project with Fluid boxes. But even then it will only be visible by users who are on desktop/laptop using a mouse or trackpad, not on mobile devices.

The good old days with SWF are gone, you have to live with the limitations of HTML5.

You can use a rollover shape as well. In such a shape you can have text and images.

No I meant Rollover shape.  The HTML tracker will point out that it is not supported, but like Rollover Caption and Rollover Image it will work on desktiop/laptop users in a non-responsive project. On mobile devices rollovers will not be functional.

To convert a shape in to a rollover shape you need to use the right-click menu on the shape. Not so well known feature of shapes.

Only the engineers can explain the reason, but I have some suspicions. Since the focus is a lot on responsive projects, all rollover items, not only the slidelet do not get upgraded anymore.  Mobile devices do not support rollovers, you have to switch to tap actions. Slidelet was added before the shapes and multistate object. If you explain your goal, maybe those two more recent features can replace the slidelet, combined with a tap/click event.
