Hi everyone,
My client wants to have control over how much space the open Captivate export takes up on her desktop. She’s a PC user and says that when she opens the project, she has no control over how large it is. She can’t click and drag from the corner to resize the project.
I’m creating on Mac so I don’t have that issue (I can click and drag from the corner fine).
She also does not want it to open to full screen, which I know would be responsive to screen size.
Courses published from Captivate have to be uploaded to a webserver or a LMS. Both need internet access. There is still the option to publish to exe files, but those are Flash-based, not sure it will be able to play for every user after the death of Flash player, needed to play SWF output.
If it is a responsive project with a small size, you could try to create an app using Phonegap, to be played on mobile devices after installation.
Hi Lieve,
Apologies for the confusion. I tagged “responsive project” because I was hoping that’s part of the answer. I’m using Captivate version 10.0.0.192.
As for the resolution and monitor, etc., I could get that information but this will be disseminated to dozens of users with different laptops. Is this an issue on their end (e.g., they need to play with their display settings) or is this an issue on my end (e.g., I need to establish certain parameters that will allow for the user to re-size the project by clicking and dragging at the corner)?
