Captivate 2019 ver. 11.0.1.266

Does anyone have a tip on how to bypass / change the default timing of Slide Transitions (individually edited is preferred) ?

A look in Preferences, a look at numerous .xml files, as well as experimenting with advanced actions has not been productive for me. (I suspect that advanced actions may be the answer however a variable name and transition effect name are elusive to me).

Also a manual edit of the appropriate .xml file seems logical but unable to identify where the related ones are stored.

Any  directional advice would be greatly appreciated.

Please tell us if your problems have been solved. Are you still publishing to SWF output?

What type of slide transitions are you trying to do? I don’t use the ‘slide transitions’ option, but sometimes I will create a transitional slide where I’ll have the previous slide contents fade out or slide out (using timing on each group or objects) and the next slide contents fade in or slide in. Does that make sense? Then you have the ability to adjust the timing for each.

This will not be the answer you expect but I strongly recommend to forget about slide transitions. They are Flash-based, which means they will not be supported for HTML5 output at all. Since the Flash player will definitely disappear from any webbrowser in the near future, I don’t think you will continue to publish to SWF.
