Adobe captivate course
I am an agile coach and an executive leadership coach. I typically work with organizations who want to transform their culture, often involving many people, like my current client of 300,000 people. I'm hoping to learn to do eLearning well enough to scale myself.

Any recommendations for a good online Adobe captivate course? I found one on LinkedIn learning which is good, but long, I just don’t want to pay $29 a month after my one month free trial is over.

I looked through some basic tutorials on the Adobe site but I’m such a beginner that I’m thinking it would be good to have something kind of comprehensive. I did that for camtasia, and it really paid off in time savings for me

You already heard about my view on training, will not repeat it. Every learner is different, has its history as learner and a teacher (everyone has done it), and with IT.   You need time to digest training, and that is why classroom training often fails, because having all workflows crammed in a short time is just leading to low efficency.  Moreover (as is also the case for the LinkedIn training), the real problems are rarely even touched. Just at this moment I have trainees that did take even certification, but are messing up their projects because of those ‘real problems’ occurring.

Take time, explore, watch video tutorials if that is your choice, but see them as only one component in the whole picture. Try to change the workflow described in the tutorial, if that works it was a good one, if not you lack insight (often the case with step-by-step tutorials). Find your own workflows, focus on the three stumbling blocks Timeline (priority 1), Quizzes (too many messy courses due to messing up quizzes), and Themes. You need a custom theme for each project, don’t listen to those who tell that is not the case.
