I want to publish my first project to Adobe Connect, but I don’t know what to enter for Name and URL of Adobe Connect Server?
You would enter the URL domain name of your Adobe Connect account. If your account is hosted by Adobe in the multitenancy cloud, then the URL domain name will end with .adobeconnect.com. The domain prefix is usually the name of the enterprise. One of my accounts is: platinum.adobeconnect.com. That is what I would enter to publish. Note that even if you wish to use the content you are authoring in an Adobe Connect Meeting room, you would not enter the full URL of the Meeting when publishing, for example I would not publish to: platinum.adobeconnect.com/mymeeting, rather I would publish just to the domain and be directed by login to the Adobe Connect Content library. Once published there, content can be invoked for use in Meetings. Note that when you add the domain name, http:// will be added as a prefix automatically. Even though the VIP is https, it will auto negotiate and switch seamlessly to https://
A couple additional notes:
- Make sure you choose Adobe Connect as the LMS for reporting from the Quiz menu if needed
- Click folder icon in Publish to Adobe Connect dialog box to add the Adobe Connect Domain (some authors may have many domains to choose among)
- Note that if you want to publish locally for alter use in Adobe Connect (perhaps you are waiting for account privileges) you may publish locally in zip format and then upload the zip.
There is a pic attached: The user friendly name pops in in front of the URL and has no effect on the upload target.
