Hi ,
Trying to upload a captivate course to LMS. Loads into course wizard initially but get message
As Lieve stated you have to turn on Reporting in Quiz preferences but that is only the tip of the iceberg. Do you have anything that requires it be reported back to the LMS? A quiz or something. Because the organization where I currently work is a little test shy, I had to learn how to get by without a quiz. The solution is rather simple. You have to make something in the module reportable for points. I build my own Next & Previous buttons and use those to include the Exit button. So for a 10 page module I have 10 reportable interactions.
There are a couple of books on Captivate 2019 that are really simple and you can get them at Amazon. They are The Essentials and Beyond the Essentials. Two very good books with lots of instructions and explanations. That is where I learned about the buttons as reportable instances and how to configure the reporting options in the Quiz settings.
You can base the criteria in Quiz, Reporting on slide views, why is that such an issue? There are even other workarounds. What you are pointing at I have been explaining multiple times in my blog since about 10 years: using scored objects (all interactive objects can be scored, including the interactive interactions) for reporting scores. No need to buy books, which often skip the real problems like using themes, timeline and tweaking quizzes.
Many details are missing in your question, I can only guess.
Probably the LMS is only supporting uploads of SCO’s, which ae SCORM packages. To create a SCO from Captivate, you need to set up Reporting under Quiz Prefernces. When publishing, a folder will be created containing all the necessary files for the SCO on top of the course files. That folder will be automatically zipped, because that is typical for a SCO.
