Hello. I inserted a .png image (of a play button) that has a transparent background but when I place it on the Captivate slide, I see hash-marks and not the background colour of my slide. How can I change the ‘transparent’ background so that it matches the background of my slide? Also, is it possible to edit the colour in the image itself? (I tried uploading the image to this post but for some reason it’s not appearing in the folder, even though it is there.
Thank you, Marion
Make sure the PNG file does indeed have a transparent background. You can easily make transparent PNG with AI background remover like FliFlik KleanOut https://fliflik.com/ai-kleanout-for-photo/
HI, I am a photoshop expert I have been providing photoshop services for 15 years. The PNG image you are using must have a background that may have low opacity. There are many images online that you may see in PNG format but not full background transplants. To make this image fully transparent, you need to remove the background again and save it as a transparent PNG file with Photoshop. Thanks
I believe your explanation of Photoshop background-making procedures in your tutorial to be accurate. But I also use Photoshop quite creatively on a Blog I run. I’m grateful, as always.
The techniques discussed in your tutorial for <a href=”https://graphicexpertsindia.com/make-background-transparent-photoshop/“>Create</a> transparent background seem accurate to me. But I also have a tutorial that will make things more clear. Thank you very much.
Which version are you using?
The PNG you are showing is used as Play Icon for all Captivate published courses to HTML5, and it always has the transparent background. Look under this path (it is PNG):
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 2019 x64\HTML\assets\htmlimages
PNG is by far the best bitmap image format if you need transparency. It is the native format used by Captivate when importing a layered Photoshop file, to convert the layers to images.
Wich version are you using?
I see ‘transparent buttons in the tags: did you use the PNG as fill for a transparent button? Because that is not clear in the question?
PNG do support alpha channels, even partial transparencey. Had never any issue showing that transparency either as image or as fill in a shape or transparent button. However the clickable area of the button will always be the bounding box.
Can you please clarify. BTW the only possibilities to edit colors is with the Hue setting in the Edit Image dialog box. Not what you want. You need to use roundtripping with Photoshop or another graphics application?
