New Button Assets
I started as an elementary teacher but moved into the adult learning industry.  I have worked in different industries, from automotive to warehousing to my current role developing and implementing training for a company involved in passive fire restraint installation, inspection, and repair.

I am starting to use the new button assets in Captivate 2019.  I love them but am wondering if I can change the colors?  The system lets me go through the motions but nothing changes.

The buttons in the Assets panel are simple PNG’s for which the feature ‘use as button’ is activated.  The style of the Rollover and Down state are identical to the Normal state. PNG is a bitmap format. You can change some features using the Edit Image, including changing the Hue and Alpha.

Alternative to these ‘buttons’, are the Icons, which are SVG images. You can activate the feature ‘Use as buton’ for them, and edit the colors as described in my most recent post (looka at the home page of this portal).

This question is linked with one or your other questions about States.

I plan an in-depth exploration of the new Assets panel. The buttons you find there are new, because those are SVG’s used as button. I explained shortly in my most recent blog about Editing SVG’s that they have the default InBuilt states (Normal, Rollover and Down). You can edit the SVG in each state as explained in that blog post. You can add the 4th InBuilt state (Visited) and as many custom states as needed. Please, read that recen tpost,
