How can I update a Captivate 9 project?

Hello,

I have a very complex project created in captivate 9, I’m trying to update it using my current Captivate 2019 but it’s nor possible. Many things are broken by incompatibility.

I would like to know if anyone already had this problem and how to fix it?

It is possible to downgrade my licence and have access to Captivate 9, or download it somehow?

I don’t mind paying for a new licence only for Captivate 9 if it’s the case, I just need to be able to edit that project.

Thank you,

Leandro Sartori

Did you create a backup before importing it into CC2019? If not, don’t save, as it may not be possible to go back to CP9. If you have saved it in cp 2019 without backup then your only option may be to fix the broken parts.

For the license problem, you need to contact Adobe customer care. This is mainly a user forum.

Fix it? There are so many reasons why you can have problems. My first reflection would be to check the used Theem and upgrade that theme to CP2019.

Yes, I already contacted the Adobe support but I still waiting for their answer.

I created the post to know if someone already had that problem before.

Updating theme didn’t work, thanks the help!

As I wrote, there may be so many causes for the problems due to changes in features or new features, that this question is too vague to get a useful answer. It may be effects, multistate objects, quiz slides, …

Yes there are indeed many problems, it’s a very big complex project.

I don’t think will be possible to edit it using 2019 version.

Thanks for the help Lieve.

Just a recommendation: do you expect this course to be available (with editing) still quite a while in the future? In that case I would prefer to update to the present version, maybe some slides do not lead to problems, other can be recreated using the assets from the Library used as external library.
