Captivate is crashing when I choose camera to record with – help!
I am an agile coach and an executive leadership coach. I typically work with organizations who want to transform their culture, often involving many people, like my current client of 300,000 people. I'm hoping to learn to do eLearning well enough to scale myself.

Hi – When I click File, New, Record New Video Demo, then I choose webcam only. So far, so good. BUT! when I choose which camera to use, and choose my lumix panasonic, which is listed in captivate as “Cam Linkk 4K” under camera options, adobe captivate JUST SHUTS DOWN!!!   (SAD FACE)

What can I do? Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Yes, this is really unprofessional from Adobe, and a problem that has been occurring since it first came out. I use ActivePresenter to record my demo

BTW, why do you not log a feature request? You can find the form under your profile name in this portal.

I am sorry, Kelly, but AFAIK only simple webcams are supported, not the better cameras like your Lumix . That was also the case for Presenter Video Xpress, from which this functionality was taken over. The prime goal of Video Demo is the screen recording, see the webcam recording just as a small add-on. Advantage over Video Xpress is that you do not have to record a webcam. I am just the opposite, do not even have a webcam on the system I use for recording (without retina screen).
