Extract issue W10

So I have  brand new Windows 10 set 115GB free on my C drive, 850GB free on my D drive

I have full admin

Looking to install captivate (Captivate_2019_x64_LS21)  on C:/ – informed that not enough space or it maybe write permissions – the space issue is easy to spot as incorrect and the write permissions checked to ensure I have full control – so the 2 issues that are stopping the extract before moving to full installation are not the issue.

Have previously used captivate on W7 enterprise with no extract and installation issues

So what is the issue(s) with Windows 10 and how can these be resolved?

Thanks in advance

Is the computer part of a workgroup or has it been joined to a domain? Also, is it installing to the default location or are you setting a new path?

Even though you have admin rights, something to try is to right-click on the installer and select “Run as Administrator.” Depending on where the installer is located or if you’re on a domain or not can impact the ability for some applications to install correctly.

The location could also be a factor as odd folder permissions can prevent things from installing correctly.

I always have documents on another drive as the applications drive.  That can free up a lot of space, especially for the cache folders of Captivate, which by default are set to be on the C-drive.
