File has become too large to open

I’ll take any suggestions here.  I have a multi-language course that I was strongly encouraged to put in one file (and I knew better), but I was guided away from using the aggregator because of the flash component, by our LMS Admin.

The file has become too large to open.  I have tried relocating it on my drives, renaming it, using the back up, etc.  It hangs at 95%.  Then stops responding.

In addition there are some international templates that I really want to leverage again.  Would they have saved anywhere in my program files that I could use them if I have to rebuild?

Any other suggestions?

15, 278 KB.  I did apply all the rules I knew.   Where can I find more information on the the solution you have suggested with the child HTML files?  Yes, shared actions. No imagery, at all, but 17 embedded PDFs. I hate to loose all this work I’ve done by not even being able to open it and break it up to manageable pieces.

15MB should never be a problem, have published much bigger files which did run smoothly.

Suspect the problem is not with file size in that case.

Pointing to the URL of the child uploaded file (index.html)

Which version are you using, please?  How big is the file?

Did you respect the usual rules to keep file size down? Like inserting graphics at the exact resolution you need them, replace bitmap images by SVG when possible, avoid duplicate advanced actions if it can be done with shared actions etc..

You don’t have to use aggregator. You could have a main course file and link to the published HTML5 child files. That would have solved the problem without any doubt.
