Read on if you are using Adobe Captivate (2017 release) and (2019 release)
Dear Valued Adobe Captivate 2017 and 2019 Customers,
We have an update to share with you regarding Adobe Captivate version download availability. For customers who have not yet updated to the latest version of Adobe Captivate, please note that you are no longer licensed to use certain older versions of the applications or deploy packages containing these older versions. We ask that your organization discontinues all usage of the unauthorized products listed in the table below, and instead update to the authorized versions provided. You will continue to receive all the value that Adobe Captivate has to offer, but with more advanced features, capabilities and security.

Here’s what to do next:Please be aware that if you continue to use or deploy the older, unauthorized versions of Adobe Captivate, you will not have third-party claim coverage pursuant to your contract with Adobe. Should you continue to use or deploy these unauthorized versions, you may be at risk of potential claims of infringement by third parties.
- If you package and deploy products to your users, then you should go to the Adobe Admin console Packages and download the latest software from there.
- If you are still licensing with a serial number, you should continue to create packages using Creative Cloud Packager.
- If you have access to Adobe Licensing Web Site, please visit the website and download latest builds for Adobe Captivate 2017 and 2019 release
- Finally, we advise that you un-install unauthorized versions and delete pre-existing packages to prevent future accidental deployments.

Thanks for the update I am I do use their account today and I am using it for an augmented in reality I am currently posting my work as a walkthrough virtually due to these unprecedented times of COVID-19 providing art lovers a legit Museum of some sorts to view art and other things that are aesthetically pleasing.
How can I download: Adobe Captivate 2017 (10.0.2.309 only)
I thought latest was 10.0.1.299, which I have, but if there is a later ‘patch’ or update, I would like to get it.
Did you try Update under the Help menu?
Is this legit. Is this coming from Adobe. Who is the author of this.
If so what is the fix to the problem noted above re version 10.01.285 and 10.01.299.

I know that for CC a similar mail got out to users, personally. Followed long discussions about that but cannot disclose everything. I am very sad that this message will prove to be genuine but want to have a confirmation.
Moreover, there is normally a difference between permanent licenses and subscription licenses, which is not clearly mentioned here.

The above post has been authored by Adobe Captivate Marketing Team. An email with the similar content is also sent to the existing Captivate 2017 license users or subscribers.
Captivate 2017 (10.0.1.299) being the authorized version is the most recent and up-to-date versions of our software along with Captivate 2019 release(all dot versions), incorporating the latest features, capabilities and security updates.
Captivate 2017 (10.0.0.192 and 10.0.1.285) is now unauthorized, You will have to uninstall current version of Captivate 2017(10.0.1.285) and install the Captivate 2017 299 version.

Thanks Shaleen for this long-awaited explanation. Since I am also an ACP I suspected this was fitting in the authorized versions discussions for CC applications. Since you are not identified as staff member, and a lot of Captivate users do not have CC, this was a rather confusing article, hence the question of David.
Is there no way to identify staff members as is the case in the Jive forums?
I have the full (non-subscription) license to Windows Adobe Captivate 2017 x64 and my version says “10.0.1.285” and the Updates option says “your applications are up-to-date”. How can I get the 10.0.1.299 referenced above? What’s different about it?

The most recent version is 11.0.1.285. The article is very confusing, because Mayank now writes that you are still authorized to use CP2017? Would love to see an official answer!

The most recent version of Cp 2017 is now 10.0.1.299. You won’t be able to update it via help > updates. You will have to uninstall Cp 2017 (10.0.1.285) and install 299 version from the following link: https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/kb/captivate-downloads.html
