Date Variable not displaying full year in Captivate

Hello,

I am using Adobe Captivate 2019 Release. I have made several CBTs all using the Date Variable $$cpInfoCurrentLocaleDateString$$ but on my current CBT, the date is not printing out in full.

It is only displaying September 6, 20 – so it is not showing 2019.

Any thoughts on why this is happening. I have looked at all my system settings and past versions of CBTs and can’t find any difference between the new one and the old ones.

Thank you for your assistance.

In the end I re-inserted the slide (which I had already done once) and re-entered the variable field again (which I had already done), tripled checked the formatting/properties and character length, and low and behold it worked. Perhaps I just wasn’t biting my tongue hard enough the first time.

Was chuckling…. that is often my workflow as well, restart slide from scratch. Thanks for the feedback.

Good grief, now it is truncating the last 3 digits. I have redone this one slide numerous times and inserted the date variable several different ways with no luck. Under Options in the Properties panel it is showing X:76, Y:570, W:448, H:42. I have adjusted these several ways with no luck. Any suggestion?

When you inserted that variable in a text container, did you check the length? Default length is 50 characters and that may not be sufficient for the variable you used, which leads to truncation of the last characters. You can change the length when inserting the variable using the X button in the Properties panel.

Thank you Lieve. I tried your suggestion and extended the field to 100 but didn’t have any luck yet.
