Certificate theme templates in Captivate

Hi,

We are starting to look at producing training content using Captivate, with Knowledge checks and then a final quiz at the end, I am looking at using the Learning Interaction for the certificate, but want to create my own from an existing certificate theme, can anyone tell me where they are stored on the PC, as I cannot find them at all.

I can find default themes, but not the certificates.

Or would it be easier to create my own as a slide.

Regards

Paul

I tried the certificate widget but I can’t get the other variables such as the course name to show up.  Do you know what may be wrong?

Themes and templates are totally different in Captivate. Will post a link in a separate comment (moderation) to a document with all the articles I wrote about themes, one of the core features of Captivate.

In a theme all slides are based on master slides, which use object styles based on the Theme colors and Theme fonts. Knowledge check and quiz slides use the quizzing master slides (5 in total, including the score slide).

However the certificate is a Learning Interaction, sort of a small add-on. You do not have the source code of this add-on, and are limited to the editing features available in the interactions. Have blogs about interactions as well.

You can create a custom certificate slide, starting from one of the content master slides. If you are uploading the course to a LMS, you can use variables to add to the certificate, user and system variables like: name of the student, name of the course, date…
