Hello everyone! Wanted to see if anyone has had a similar issue and came up with a solution?
I have 2019 MacBook Pro with OS Catalina 10.15. I am trying to perform a video demo with an external USB webcam. Its a brand new webcam and works on other applications, and has worked on captivate a couple times. The main issue is that when I select the USB webcam on the Video Demo options, it still shows video from the FaceTime HD (built in) camera.
When i hit record though, it DOES record from the USB webcam, but this doesn’t help me because I need to get rid of my background on the video from the USB Webcam.
More issues have been coming up after I plugged in a USB microphone, but that can be for a later discussion.
Side Note: I am using a USB hub to plug in everything, since the new Macbooks only have USB C inputs.
This is the same issue I’m been having with Captivate 9 on my Mac. Captivate is recognising the other webcams, but it will not record from them. This is frustrating, and after reading this thread is a known problem for at least 4 months. Come on Adobe, this needs to be addressed asap, especially now in “lock-down” when we need to be able to teach remotely.
