I think I found my own answer (sort of). Though I can’t find a way for reporting to be unchecked for click boxes in simulation slides by default, I can at least use the “Apply to all items of this type” option to uncheck it for all clickboxes.

I did answer this 3 hours ago. You have to open the nested threads to see the answer. In my view of this thread, it is under the Reply button of your answer starting with ‘YES!’.

As for finding your questions (and answers) in this portal, you need to sign up for notifications in your profile. I understand that this portal, which is not meant really for questions at this moment, can be confusing compared with the pure question-focussed traditional Adobe forums.

YES! That was most definitely the case, and your response the answer! So … tangential question: Is there a way to have “Reporting” turned off by default for interactive features such as clickboxes when I generate a software simulation?

Adding reporting and score used to be only in Assessment mode, but since some versions it also happens in Training mode. Think I once posted a feature request to take it out for Training, but if not many user post such a request it never happens.

The choice is not available in Preferences, Recording, Modes, Training neither, which is IMO also a missing item. Of course I’m just a user.

The quickest way, if you can accept that this affects ALL click boxes, is to turn off Reporting for one click box, use the hamburger menu in the Reporting section and click the option ‘Apply to all items of this type’.

Yes, you are correct — there are simulation slides in the project. And I have no reason to “score” the interactions. Will go in and uncheck the “Reporting” box for those and see if that fixes it. Tangential question: Is there a way to turn off reporting by default for interaction elements such as clickboxes when generating simulation slides?

Did you check the Advanced Interaction panel (F9)? It lists up all scored objects in your course. Not only quiz slides but all interactive objects can have a score. Since the number you show is rather high, I wonder if you have training simulation slides in your course, because each click box and Text Entry Box in such a sim is automatically scored.
