Can’t Publish – unsupported characters – How do I correct this?
(2)

I’m edited a Captivate project on a PC created on a MAC due to the issues that Captivate has right with MAC OS Catalina and it doesn’t work AT ALL on MAC! So, I’m stuck working on a PC. Now, I’ve spent days redoing a project and finished. I wanted to export the project into MP4, but it has given me an error saying, “Publish path has unsupported characters. Please correct it and republish.”

Where are these unsupported characters? It doesn’t show me anything?????

So frustrating!

Sounds like you may have some sort of symbol in your naming convention.

My recommendation is to always avoid symbols and spaces in file names and to stick with camel casing where you capitalize each word beginning with the second word.

For example: Suggested convention in bold italics.

My_File_Name

myFileName

Captivate.Project

captivateProject

Can you post the file name you are using, please? Avoid all strange characters, certainly spacing. You can use underscores perfectly or camel formatting.

BTW there was a patch released for Mac users…
