Problem running Captivate simulation on a network server.
(3)

I am having a problem publishing a Captivate simulation to my network server.

Currently, I am using Captivate 11.5.1

I first publish a html file and then move the entire group of files to my server.

However, when I click the index file on the server, the simulation does not run.

Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Hi Daniel. Did you ever find an answer to this question? Are you seeing the perpetual spinning preloader? I have been having the same issue and have been tearing my hair out trying to solve it. Here’s a link that seems to have helped some. It has not helped me so far, but you might find something useful here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate/captivate-8-html5-file-fails-to-load/td-p/7722291?page=1

Let me know if you’ve had any further insights.

That kb document is for Captivate 8, are you still on that version?

Do you publish to HTML5? Are you talking about a software simulation in Demo mode? If yes, try hiding all the FMR slides and see if it is uploasding?

A published HTML folder in Captivate is like a website with eventually SCORM functionality added to it. A website always needs to run on a webserver which is not the case in your workflow.  What you described was possible with the outdated SWF published files, but not with HTML publishing. It may run locally, but there is never a guarantee. Moreover make sure that JSON is supported.
