How do I undock the timeline? I have Captivate 2019. I swear I could detach the timeline in Captivate 9. My timeline is stacked pretty high. Help. I’m sure its super simple but cant find it.

The functionality to be able to create custom workspaces and have floating panels was taken out from the Newbie UI with Captivate 8. You can switch to the Expert UI by activating that option in the Preferences as StagPrime points out. You have to create at least one basic workspace, because the Classic workspace will have lost its panels, and the big buttons Library and Properties are gone. Use the Window menu to activate panels in the workspace and save it from the dropdown menu which shows ‘Classic’.

Go under

Edit >> Preferences >>

On the General Settings Section – check the box that says “Enable custom workspaces/panel undocking”

Restart Captivate.

Hope this helps.
