Hi all. I am hoping this is the right place to post this.

I am working on a project and need to randomize a selection made by the learner and am looking for some tips. For example, I want the learner to click on a button and be given a random activity card/scenario. I have done this before using a rotating hotspot in the timeline that directs learners to different slides but I am wondering if there is a way to do this using advanced actions. To complicate things, variables that store info for use on other slides can’t be used since I would like to use it in Adobe Connect.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance!

It is only possible to help you with a more detailed answer if you are ready to answer the questions posted before.

All depends on the type of activity. If you can use a quiz slide (even tweaked) it is easy, since you can use a question pool.  If you can cope with using random numbers generated with JS you have another possibility. Please give some more details and tell which exact version number you are using (Help, About Captivate).
