In this blog post, I gave some information about my experience working with Adobe.
This is my first blog post eLearning Community and I wanted to explain how did I meet with Adobe’s eLearning Products.
I was working for a company that was a distributor of Adobe in Turkey. I was a product manager at this company and responsible for Adobe’s eLearning products. We were selling mostly Adobe Connect, a virtual classroom solution for education institutes and companies. And of course, we were selling Adobe Captivate and Adobe Presenter for eLearning course creation.
In Turkey, there was a transformation for universities on the eLearning side. All universities started to understand eLearning, try to open some programs to make money from eLearning. These days, I have traveled a lot. Every two days I was flying to a different city in Turkey to support our sales team as a product manager. I had a scenario that was using a demonstration meeting with the university. I was the guy who was speaking a lot at the meeting.
We were selling turnkey projects for eLearning projects to universities. We were giving a Learning Management System which was a home-grown product and support it with Adobe Connect for virtual classrooms and giving the Adobe Captivate and Adobe Presenter for eLearning creation side. We had trained instructors who were creating eLearning courses with Adobe Captivate and Adobe Presenter and manage virtual classrooms with Adobe Connect. Universities were making money with our turnkey projects. Day one, they were starting eLearning with their instructors.
Most of the universities started online MBA programs with Adobe’s eLearning products. Some universities start with $1000 tuition fee and some start with $5000 for 1-year MBA programs.
The best part of this we were using only Adobe’s eLearning products except for LMS. And today, Adobe offers Adobe Captivate Prime LMS for learning management system solutions. This is great for any company and institution. They can get support for all their digital products from one single point. It means you do not have to work with different companies for different product segments. When you are starting an Online School project, Adobe can handle all solutions for it.
These days, they’re really different products for eLearning. However, working with a company is the key to success. That’s my story about how I met Adobe’s eLearning products.
