Learning Interaction Asset – Timeline
(4)

I am somewhat new to Captivate. I took a slide from Assets that contained a Timeline learning interaction.  I can not figure out how to edit the different pages within the timeline. It’s set up as an advanced action, so I’m not sure where to go to edit each of the different pages. Hope that makes sense. It is the Timeline slide of the Wellbeing project that I’m using.

Apparently you do not come back to the portal to check for eventual answers. You are not unique, have to know that there is no way to get a notification about possible answers unless you subscribe to the notifications. Even in that case, notifications are sometimes broken due to technical problems.

I have spend some time finding the slide and analyzing it. It would be nice to hear at least that you have read my answer.

That is the problem with those Quick Start Projects, no documentation at all. I will have a look and try to clarify. Wellbeing is a Fluid Boxes project. Not a good idea to start with a responsive project if you are new to Captivate, it complicates everything.

There is only one Timeline slide in that project, have identified that slide and downloaded it. Start by deleting the Pause action. It is in the slide properties, On Enter (actions tab ) and  makes no sense, because the slide is paused by a multitude of buttons at 1.5secs.  Open the Timeline panel, all green timelines are buttons (5) and you see the pausing points.

Can you explain exactly what you want to do? The advanced actions are mainly with commands about the states of  3 multistate objects. Three object timelines (not the bottom one) correspond with multistate objects. Select one of them and open the Object State panel with the button ‘State View’. You can edit each state. Same for the other two multistate objects.
