Missing Helvetica Regular in Font List But It’s in System

Has anyone experienced missing fonts in Captivate 2019 but they are in your system and you can access/use them in other applications? I have a project that uses Helvetica Regular but it’s not located in the Helvetica dropdown list (only Light, Light Oblique, Oblique, Bold, and Bold Oblique are). Does anyone have any advice to bring this font back in the list or why it’s not there in the first place?

Thanks.

There are also different versions of Helvetica. MacOS includes it as a system font but the version of Helvetica that is often used for print isn’t the same font. See if you have two Helveticas in your list of fonts.

BTW have a look at this post where I tried to explain the possible dangers of using system fonts:

I suspect this is a system font, not a websafe font nor an Adobe font? It is not recommended to use system fonts, because they may end up being converted to Times New Roman for your end users when they do not have that font installed.

About your question, each individual font in the family needs to be installed (very clear when you are used to Adobe fonts). Did you double-check that it is indeed installed? Some applications simulate fonts from a family (faux fonts) if they cannot find tem.
