Hi All,

One of my colleagues has shared the video template via email & OneDrive, when I tried to open the Video Template in Adobe Captivate 2019(version 11.0), received the following error. We both are working on the same version !Can I know the RCA and solution

I have already answered this question in the Adobe forums. I insisted to check the complete version number under Help, About Captivate. Answer was that you both used CP2019.

There were bug fixes along the way through these versions. It’s strongly recommended that you arrange to both get all the updates to bring you up to the most up to date version for your OS.

There have been about five versions of Adobe Captivate 2019. At least one of these minor releases introduced new features. Files created on the newer releases are not always compatible with previous minor releases. To determine if you are both on the same sub-version click on the Help dropdown menu and click on About. For example, if your colleague created a file made in version 11.5.4.613, and you were still running 11.0.1.266 you would not be able to open that project file. Here is the list of version numbers that I’m aware of.

  • 11.0.0.243 
  • 11.0.1.266 (Update 1)
  • 11.5.0.476 (Update 2)
  • 11.5.1.499 (Update 3)
  • 11.5.4.613 (Update 4 Mac OS only)
