Keep both ends of mouse path editable throughout a project.
I’d like to send a suggestion to the Captivate developers but I’ve no idea where to post it.
My suggestion is, can they enable the tail of mouse movement to be edited throughout the Captivate project, not just on the first slide? Sometimes I would really like to tweak my mouse paths and that would be a huge help, but the only place you can move the tail is on slide 1. All the rest you can move the head – where the mouse lands – but not where it starts on that slide.
You can look at it another way, in that you can edit it the starting point but it must be done from the previous slide, but if the last action on that previous slide is a mouse click then moving it will break your sequence of actions and make it confusing for your learner.
There is a logical explanation. When you have a sequence of slides with a mouse object, the learner will never see the transition to a new slide and the mouse path will continue seamlessly. If you are able to edit both ends of a mouse path that logic is broken.
