Unable to create a UserName at the beginning of the project that translates to a Certificate at the end of the project , with the Current Date.

I am creating an Elearning Project. I need to create an User Name at the beginning of the project that needs to be on the Completion Certificate at the end o the project with the Current Date. I have tried creating a Variable. Inserted that in a Text entry box, added the variable Created from the GeneralVariable Box. Inserted the Text Caption Box (Format Insert) Done the same on the Certificate Page and Date.
Not sure what step I am missing.

You didn”t answer my questions. If you have the variable cpQuizInfoUserName, did you associate THAT variable with the Tect Entry Box you are probably using at the start of the course to ask for a name?
The Date is normally taken from your OS, the used variable is from the category System Information.
You talk about Captivate 7, is that truly the version you are using? The most recent version is 11.5.
This is important to know. The two user variables which are automatically created with each new project, I am not sure that was already the case in CP7: cpQuizInfoUserID and cpQuizInfoUserName. Those variables are normally retrieved from the LMS. Dio you use a LMS?
