Hi – Here is a free asset you can use to ensure your interactive learning widget will in fact pause the way it’s support to, when you add it as an overlay to a video.

In this asset, I inserted a video from youtube (you can replace it with your own), and then in captivate, I was inserting an interactive accordian learning widget as an overlay to the video.

The problem was that sometimes the overlay stopped the video, but sometimes it didn’t. Idid some reading in help files, and apparently it’s supposed to automatically stop the video; however, it was an easy fix, which I have included in this zip for you.

The fix is to go to the slide that has the interactive learning wedget (in this case, an accordian), and click on the widget, then go to the properties panel on the right. Once you are there, click on the Actions tab. Open the drop down under “On Enter,” and choose pause.

Since it took some learning on my part to figure this out, I hope this reusable free asset will help you because it already has that behavior.
