Global settings for Closed Captioning?

Are there global settings for closed captions in Captivate? I thought I set them up in the Skin Editor, but they only worked on one slide. Is there a way to set global settings? Set a series of slides with the same settings and then different settings on a different set of slides? I’m not finding any help on this topic anywhere.

Yes, you are remembering correctly about setting it in the skin editor. Look for a drop down, middle-top of the settings area under the preview). It will default to showing ‘Slide #’ with the # being the slide you are currently working on to add audio or 1 if you were not just working with audio or coming in from a specific slide.

Once you find the drop down, activate it and at the top in the menu is ‘Project’ where you can set project defaults. There is a ‘Reset to Project” that can be used from the Time of saving your settings on the project level that can be used to get other slides to match the settings of the new default.
