Hi Anastasia,
Thanks so much for sharing your valuable knowledge! I’m having some difficulty though opening up PPT files through Captivate. I’ve attached the error message hoping you can troubleshoot the issue. I followed the steps of going to New>From Power Point. I tried various PPT files but keep getting the same error “unable to upload, file may be damaged”
Can you please help?
Thanks,
HL
Hi HL, I’m sorry for the belated reply, I was on a trip. I’ve seen that error message myself. What seems to fix it for me (I’m on PC) is to have PowerPoint open first. Even if you don’t have a slide deck open, just have Power Point open. Then in Captivate, try creating a project from PowerPoint. Hope that helps! Write again if you still have problems.

Great session. I notice that a fair amount of activity happens using the controllers at the bottom of the screen. I have noticed a while back already that this is a feature that has become unfortunately unavailable with the limiting of activeX and flash in chrome. Is there any plan to address this or am i missing something?
Hi Brian, I’m a little confused which controllers at the bottom you are referring to? True that Flash is going away at the end of this year, but there are still built-in navigation options that can appear at the bottom of your eLearning piece that you can use that work in HTML5, if that’s what you’re referring to!
I loved this session as well– my favorite so far. I learned a lot (not that I needed any convincing to switch to CP as I’m a “believer” and a long time user)….. I thought you did a fabulous job of showing attendees how easy the QuickStart projects are to use and customize. I think anyone on the fence about investing the time in learning Captivate should surely be convinced it’s time to jump over the fence to the CP side. Those who already use CP can learn some things as well. Great tips, great voice, great presentation! Thank you!
