Captivate is mainly used for asynchronous training. To host a virtual classroom, you can use Captivate but in combination with a solution like Adobe Connect. I do deliver training that way.
Feedback from the user: depends on the amount of people in your classroom. There are several ways of feedback: polls, virtual hand signs, audio, breakout rooms….
