Black horizontal line across top and bottom of inserted youtube video – why? Oh, why?!?
I am an agile coach and an executive leadership coach. I typically work with organizations who want to transform their culture, often involving many people, like my current client of 300,000 people. I'm hoping to learn to do eLearning well enough to scale myself.

Hi – Any ideas on why there are horizontal black lines across the top and bottom of my inserted youtube video, inserted into adobe captivate?

Link to original youtube video (no annoying lines):

https://youtu.be/xM29_erM6mw

Link to captivate (has the awful black lines):

https://eqagileacademy.com/Programs/active-listening-for-agile-adventurers/Offerings/lesson-3-why-agile-adventurer-ana-wants-to-learn-active-listening/

Thanks for any ideas on where this is coming from, and how to remove it,

Kelly

Your Captivate project and the video just have different width/height ratios. The Captivate course seems to be 16 : 10, while the video is 16 : 9 (so slightly more ‘wide screen’). If you want the video to fill the whole course window without re-scaling it or cutting something off at the sides, your Captivate course should have the same ratio; better even the exact same resolution.

You can re-scale you Captivate project to match the video, but be careful as this might mess up object positioning and stuff.
