I have embedded a YouTube video using a link. However, when I upload the SCORM file onto Moodle the video refuses to load.
What can possibly be the problem?

Try embedding your YouTube video as a Web Object. You can provide the YouTube link or get the embed code from the You Tube Share. Either way will work for you. I have used both approaches with video embedded courses that I have uploaded to my LMS.
Have you checked the Youtube Video to be sure that it is allowed to be embedded? Sometimes Youtube videos cannot be embedded. You can test Youtube videos by updating the YouTube URL. You can replace the watch?v= with embed/ to see if can be embedded. For example… :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsIzBKLV_T4
rewrite it to:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/AsIzBKLV_T4
And test the link if its embeddable it will appear when you test the link.
