Video controls in an active video

Can I simply add video controls in an active video slide. Similar to say a YT or Vimeo video with pause, replay, scroll back etc.

It depends how you did insert the video: as Event video or as Slide Video?

Event video has its dedicated control panel, which appears in HTML5 output when you hover over the bottom of the video. That type of video is NOT synchronized with Captivate’s timeline, and cannot be controlled by Captivate.

If you insert as Slide video, there is synchronization and you can create buttons to control the video. For Pause/play you can use the button on a playbar. To replay the video you can create a slide replay button. Some more info in:
