Free Video Editing Software You Might Already Have on Your PC
I've been an eLearning designer and developer since 2005. In 2015 I started my own eLearning design company. I began creating Adobe Captivate video tutorials to help promote my business through my YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/captivateteacher. My intention with my YouTube videos was to attract attention from organizations looking for a skilled Captivate developer. This strategy proved successful as I've worked with clients worldwide, helping them build highly engaging eLearning solutions. In addition, my YouTube channel presented another benefit of attracting aspiring Captivate developers to seek me out as a teacher. I now offer online and onsite training on Adobe Captivate, teaching users the skills to build engaging and interactive learning.

Thanks for saying this Paul. I am historically a Mac user, so I have some software available through Apple.

But for the new job I started a few months ago, I am on a PC. It is possible that I have to do some videos and editing, so that could be a useable solution. Did not know it was there. I will check it out.

Thanks

My apologies Paul Wilson , I meant to ask about a free screen recording tool.

I use Techsmith Camtasia and Snagit for all my capture needs. They do offer free trials but alas they are paid software.

Hi Paul Wilson , what’s a good free tool for screen capture instead? The Video Editor tip is very helpful!

Adobe Captivate, which I assume you have, has the Video Demo feature which does exactly that.

Thanks so much for sharing.  I didn’t know about this.  I do have it on my computer.   It reminds me of Windows Movie Maker which was taken away when Microsoft went to Windows 10.   I ended up purchasing Magix Movie Edit Pro to replace Windows Movie Maker.   It has more bells and whistles than Windows Movie Maker had, but at the time, I would have been satisfied with Video Editor.   I wonder how long it has been on my computer…
