To clear the mystery. The detective doesn’t know who poisoned Lady B. The challenge is to clear your name. Hope this helps.

I like how you pose a challenge and objective as soon as the course starts…it served as motivation (personally). I couldn’t progress when I clicked the female avatar (nothing happened), but no issues with the male avatar.

I think the only “criticism” I have is that I would have liked to have instructions on interacting, I would have appreciated upfront some instructions to confirm my understanding and expectations, like how you presented question #3 to identify the buttons and location (i.e. buttons to the left) to avoid hesitation.
