Howdy thrillseekers!
I’ve had a number of students ask me how to make a progress bar in Captivate because they don’t want to use the default playback control.

Although I could have made it using Captivate Advanced Actions, I decided to use Javascript instead, so that some of my more advanced students could start pushing the envelope.

The tutorial covers:

  1. How to include a javascript file into your project.
  2. How to get and set Captivate Variables from Javascript.
  3. How to change the state of Captivate Multistate Objects with Javascript.

There are also many other Captivate Tutorials on the site with downloadable source files.

Here’s the link

Enjoy, and hit me up if you need help!
