Can’t show Captivate-generated HTML5 in any browsers

I’m a Mac user using macOS Catalina 10.15.7. When I publish my Captivate 2019 projects I can’t open the files afterwards in any browser. First is was a problem with Chrome, then Safari and recently Firefox. If I try to open the HTML-files on a Windows pc it works fine.

One other strange thing: When I publish my project, Captivate asks me if I want to see the project in my browser – and it works every time. Other Captivate users must have experienced the same problem. What to do?

Hi,

Can you try hosting the content on any web server/LMS/localhost server and check if it is working.

Published content works the first time when Captivate asks you to view it because it plays using the localhost server, which is used for previewing the project.

Are you publishing with SWF/Flash as well as HTML? If so, Apple devices won’t play it because of the SWF/Flash. Be sure to disable it…what are your publishing settings (or can you post a screenshot)?
