Newbie needs help with Text Caption box content changing when device scales

I am pretty new so this may be a simple fix, but I have not been able to figure it out.  I have a title on my first slide in a text caption box.  When I select any different view size, such as a tablet or mobile, the content changes back to the former title. In the timeline, the text caption box is the same (at least the identifier remains constant).  If I go back to the desktop, the it is the updated title again.

Thanks in advance!

Not sure it is about Breakpoint views, because new users will mostly ignore that older workflow which gives more control over responsive projects.

If you are on Fluid Boxes, it is a bit confusing: you are not supposed to use the dropdown list to see the content for other browser resolutions. Use the play button to see the layout changes when switching to lower resolutions. I atttached an image.

If you don’t like what you see, maybe you didn’t set up nor configure the Fluid Boxes as you need to. May I recommend to start with non-responsive projects to master Captivate’s basics before switching to the Fluid Boxes workflow and its setup?

Sounds like you are using breakpoint responsive design. When you edit just about any object while previewing in one of the other views than Desktop, Captivate will remember those changes just for that view and any size smaller. To fix this return to Desktop view and right-click on this object and select either Apply text to all views or Apply text and text properties to all views. You may also be interested in using the Apply position properties to all views as well if you want to make sure the location of your objects is consistent from breakpoint to breakpoint.
