Adobe Captivate Crash

I have been having several issues with Adobe Captivate. My first issue that one of my projects was not showing any of my texts on my objects. You could see the text in the filmstrip, but not on the actual slide. When I went to view in browser it would not allow me to do so.   If I tried and copying and pasting the slides on new project the text still would not show up.  I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Captivate.

Now as I am working on a project I go to enter a “question slide” Captivate ends up completing crashing and kicking me out.

Please help!

Installed locally (SSD).  All paths are local (some synced to OneDrive).  Its the current version so should be no need to force a run as admin.

What is the ‘current’ version, and who told you not to Run as Administrator? You find the full version number under Help, About Captivate. If you are on Windows, it is strongly recommended to run with ‘Run as Administrator’ to avoid problems.

Some users have reported issues with synching to OneDrive. I do it as well without problems.

You don’t tell which exact version you are using, not the OS. What I answer here is only valid on Windows.

Is Captivate installed on your system, not on a networked or external drive? Are the paths for the projects and cache both on your system?  Do you run Captivate with the feature ‘Run as Administrator’?

Do not reinstall, but first try clearing the Cache and restoring a fresh version of Preferences. The first can be done with a button from Preferences, General settings. For the restore find the subfolder ‘utils’ under the installation folder and run CleanPreferences… while Captivate is closed.
