Clear Cache wipes out access to project files – All of them

I just discovered that clearing cache through Preferences wipes out access to all of my project files.  The only way I have been able to restore access is to reinstall Captivate 2019 which is a huge problem because I don’t have admin rights and have to call my help desk each time.

Can you please check the paths under Preferences, General Settings. The path for Cache should be different from the path to ‘Publish at….’ (which is the default path for the projects). In a default setup those paths are different but someone (IT?) probably has set them both pointing to the same location. Be also careful with paths to locations which are not on your system, but on a networked drive (which may be the case if you have a roaming profile).
